Off-load tap changer - a mechanism in a transformer for step-wise regulation of voltage.

Off-load tap changer allows regulation of output voltage through changes of taps in the transformer. As the name suggest this type of changer requires that no load is connected to the transformer or that the transformer is de-energised completely.
