More information about the company

Infolytica was founded in 1978, by Dr. P. Silvester, Dr. E. Freeman and Dr. D. Lowther. In 1986 they were joined by Dr. J. Webb.

Since 1978, the package MagNet was two-dimensional. With the progress of computer technology it evolved to a sophisticated 3D tool, with multi-core processing architecture.

Infolytica packages offer:

  • Windows-based software
  • Multi-processor solver
  • Two-way transient electromagnetic-thermal coupling
  • 2D and 3D modelling and simulation environment
  • 3D transient electric field solver
  • Complete scripting language
  • Automated design optimisation software
  • Automated finite-element analysis specialised for electric machines

As of 2013 Infolytica is a specialist in low-frequency electromagnetic devices and systems.4) 5)

Infolytica's software is used by such manufacturers as: General Electric, NTT, ABB, Toshiba, Sony, Inductotherm, Northrop Grumman, General Motors, Samsung and Harman Motive.6)

The company has a branch called Infolytica Europe (with a separate website address) responsible for its operation throughout Europe.
