**$\mu_{p}$** (also **μp** or **mu p**)[([[http://www.aperam.com/alloysandspecialities/fileadmin/pdf/Aperam/datasheets/STRIPS_S50T.pdf|Supra 50 t, Cold rolled strip, Data sheet, Aperam Alloys Imphy, {accessed 2016-02-19}]])] - it is a value of the real part of the [[complex magnetic permeability]] measured at low excitation (e.g. 40 [[G]] or 4 [[mT]]) hence equivalent to [[initial magnetic permeability]].
